Roasted Chicken!

by Jessica

Here is another great recipe that I have made a few times thanks to Tanya sharing another great recipe!

Assemble your seasonings.

Get your chicken or turkey.

Put that sucker in some foil in a dish, I used a 9×13 since I wanted it to have sides.

Add some oil and rub a dub.

Add your seasonings… I got a little over excited and it doesn’t need quiet that much but you get the idea.

Wrap the foil so it is closed since the steam really helps keep the bird juicy.

I figured since I was making the chicken might as well make it a foil dinner night so I added broccoli to foil as well  with a splash or water or oil and  seasonings.

Close the foil well and add both to the oven.

Here you can see the broccoli finished.

And the bird, below are the actual instructions, thanks Tanya for sharing another great recipe!

Roast Turkey or Chicken

This is more of a preparation than a recipe. It was in Real Simple for using on a Turkey, but hubby loved it so much, I often roast chickens this way.

1 bird(turkey or chicken)

olive oil

House seasoning:
2 tsp. chili powder
2 tsp. kosher salt
2 tsp.fresh ground black pepper

1. Heat oven to 325 degrees.

2. Rub prepped bird with olive oil

3. Sprinkle seasoning over entire bird.

4. Roast in oven for 20 minutes per pound covered completely in foil.

Patti,
I would use the same temperature,325, just cook 20 mins per pound of your total weight of meat.
