No, we are not pregnant, and we aren’t wanting a child yet either! My one sister thought that I was calling to tell her that, but Grant and I are excited to reveal that Grant accepted a job here in Austin! He got the offer on my birthday, but he was still interviewing with another company so we wanted to make sure that this was final and all. He starts the 16th of February, and it is a full time, full benefits job! He accepted the position of Support Engineer. I have no idea what life will bring next; looking back, I don’t think we could have ever predicted where we are now. We are so blessed; this job is within a few miles of my work and very close to where we live. We might move closer to our jobs when our lease is up later this year. I am on cloud nine! I feel like we can finally start paying off loans and saving money. I wanted to keep this post short and sweet. Thank you for everyone who has been praying for us we cherish your support!

Grant and I love lasagna! It is a go to meal and I think this is what Grant wanted at this last birthday as the meal of choice! I should start adding spinach or mushrooms, but this recipe is just so good as it is we never have looked to improve it! This recipe is baked in the oven, but I want to try a crock pot version eventually, I don’t see how it wouldn’t work.
For Ashley’s Baby Shower, a while ago, I was asked to make chocolate covered oreos. There is a really easy way, where you can just dip the oreos in chocolate and place them on a sheet to dry. The only thing I don’t like about this method, is that I feel they don’t look perfect enough. Now don’t get me wrong there are times when look doesn’t matter, but for this baby shower we wanted everything as close to perfect as we could get.
Grant and I like most chinese food. Growing up, I loved the orange chicken at Panda Express a lot. My mom and I would go on dates there randomly. I saw THIS  recipe floating around pinterest, and decided I would give it a try and let you know what I think. The process was very simple, and the result was very similar  to restaurants which I was surprised about! The tastes was VERY orange. I would have preferred a more subtle orange flavor. But I will at least show you the step by step on how to make it. In future, I will just change the actual sauce that we put into the crock pot and do everything else the same.
Growing up, I spent a lot of time at my friend Cara’s house. Her mom made homemade bread for the family every week. She even ground her own grains to make it worth the price. I love her regular bread a lot,but the cinnamon raisin swirl version was AMAZING! I finally was able to get her recipe, and I have made it twice for Grant, and there was never very much left. Below you can see step by step pictures and then the list of ingredients with all of the instructions. I hope you enjoy it!
Here is a really great and easy recipe that is a staple in our family. I prefer Chili with more beans than meat, but Grant isn’t a huge lover of Beans so I have to have a higher meat to bean ratio. 🙂 The things Grant actually cares about crack me up. Before I met Grant, I didn’t realize that people had texture issues with foods. Oh well, him being particular about foods just makes me laugh inside. I love how certain things makes everyone unique.
