A lot of high end brands of make up have their own cases where you can replace the different make up portions that run out. They are also nice because you can transport most of you stuff in one container. The problem is I don’t wear high end make up, and wanted a universal case that can accommodate any of the random make up for when we are traveling.

I have been using DIY Gel Nail kits for around a year now, and I still love them just as much as when I bought my first kit. I have gotten a ton better at painting my nails and making them look good then in the very beginning, but that is just how it goes. I still had issues though with my nails breaking or the polish peeling up. I take vitamins, and have strong nails, but the corners would sometimes chips or slightly bend which would cause the polish to come off of the nail. So here is how I found out how to keep that from happening. I’m not a nail professional, I have just found what works for me.
I did a Gel Nail Polish Review HERE about all the different polishes and which are my favorite. One of the commenters asked me if I had tried the CND brand. I am in no way paid by any of these companies; I am just a random person who wants to find the product that works the best for me. So I saved up and bought CND Shellac Base Coat, CND Shellac Top Coat, OPI Bond Aid, and CND Color Coat, Masquerade. I also read a review HERE from one of my favorite bloggers, and she also uses the CND brand and says it works the best for her… she does cross fit too. I have issues with being very rough on my nails. I cook, clean, wash dishes, etc. and so far the longest the gel nails have lasted was 5-6 days without an bubbling, chips, or lifting. Until now… Oh and by the way, I am not a professional.
I have always been a sucker for the french tipped nail look. There are many ways that you can get this look with gel nails. I know that Sensationail sells their own kit that has white tips that get stuck on, and I have seen people do it successfully. I however tried it and couldn’t get one single nail to work. So, below is how I do this look, it takes a little longer, but for me it is totally worth it.
I just wanted to take a moment and do a review of my own experiences with some of the different Gel Polish Brands. When I started looking into doing my own gel nails at home, I kept trying to find a review of the differences of some of the common brands. I never really found any because all the reviews were sponsored by one of the brands. I am not sponsored and haven’t gotten any of my polishes for free or by any of those companies. I am just showing the brands that I thought were the most affordable and readily available. I got the brands below at Target, Walmart, and Amazon.com; I know that Sephora and Ulta have their own brands, but I normally don’t shop at those stores, and I just assumed they are more expensive. I could be wrong on that though.
