Pregnancy Post – 21 Weeks
I am now 22 weeks, so here is my 21 week update.
How far along: 21 weeks
How big is baby: Twelve ounces and the size of a carrot.
Weight gain: 2 Pounds
Sleep: This week we have been terrible with sleep! Grant and I have been super busy with stuff so we have been going to bed between 10pm and midnight and getting up at 5am. So, I have been dragging this week for sure.
Diet/Cravings/Aversions: Since I have been up at 5 am, I have noticed that food smells make me a little bit more queasy,so I have been eating more toast and things like that until my stomach settles, but I know this is only because my body is asking what the heck I’m doing to it this week.
Movement: Lots more movement, I have noticed it most when things are pressing down on my stomach. For instance, I prefer, when sitting at my desk, to be pushed up all the way against the desk which means right now my stomach still fits under it, but gets the edge of the desk slightly pressing into my stomach since I haven’t dropped my desk chair yet in height. Well, that is when she kicks the most at said object. Or if Grant and I are sitting on the couch and his arm is on my stomach and it is putting too much pressure, little one will give us a piece of her mind about it.
What I’m loving: Feeling the movement, getting to see our baby on the ultrasound at the end of this week will be wonderful, just praying all is good and healthy.
Symptoms: Right now nothing to crazy, but I noticed when doing a squat that it was harder to come up, so I need to start doing them more especially since I read that is super helpful for birthing later on. Just tired because I haven’t been getting much sleep, and feeling more pregnant since my stomach is more visible now.
What I’m looking forward to: My Austin visit and baby shower, when this is published, I will be there already. I can’t wait to meet baby Kathryn, see my sisters, mom, Opa, and Oma who I didn’t realize were going to be in the States when I booked my flight.
Thoughts: I feel a little behind on the few books that I have been wanting to read before the baby comes, so I’m hoping I can get caught up on those.
Let me know if you have any questions!
