Living Room & Foyer Update

by jrwarfield

We have slowly been working on updating different areas of our house. Having a young child, lack of excess money, and lack of excess time are the main reasons that the updates take us so long. Also, there are always other things that need to be done, and honestly, sometimes it is hard to be motivated to do anything once your little one is in bed. 🙂 However, here is the update of our living room and foyer update.

Testing out paint colors. We ended up using the standard pure white from Behr in semi gloss for our trim color and silver drop in eggshell from Behr for the walls. We wanted a very neutral gray that could look gray or beige depending on what you pair it with.

What it looks like now with new outlets, new switches, white trim, scraped ceilings, and new paint on the walls. There are so many things we still want to do with this room like built in bookcases around the cased opening, new end tables, media storage for TV, sound system/speakers, and recessed can lights in the ceiling, but you have to start somewhere.

What it looks like now with new outlets, new switches, white trim, scraped ceilings, new door hardware, a new light fixture, and new paint. Like above, we want to add more art work, maybe an entry table, and a new front door, but for now it looks so much better than it did.
