I am now 30 weeks, so here is my 29 week update.
Check out the week 28 update Here:
How big is baby: Two pounds 9 ounces and the size of a butternut squash.
Weight gain: 17 Pounds
Sleep: My sleeping is going great. I still get up once a night to pee, but we haven’t been going to bed as early as we should.
Diet/Cravings/Aversions: I have been all about Aldi’s peanut butter cups, grapefruit, strawberries, spicy foods, and sushi. I have also been drinking lots of water.
Movement: Boy oh Boy is she moving a lot now. I can feel her rolling and moving. I think she is still positioned transverse because I will feel movement on both sides of my stomach while laying down. There was one time that she actually kicked me in the ribs which made me think she was head down, but since then I know she has moved all over the place, so at my next appointment I will see where they think she is.
What I’m loving: Knowing that everything is getting closer to meeting our little girl. Right now we are in crazy get things done mode, and I know once she makes her appearance all of that will pretty much come to a screeching halt since we will be soo tired and figuring out how to handle a new born and an addition to our family. I love when she randomly will surprise me with a movement or kick. Sometimes I can push in on a spot and she will push back. Grant claims it is coincidence, but I can pretend it isn’t.
Symptoms: I can tell that I’m getting bigger. I have been doing a lot of painting (wearing a respirator, gloves, etc.), and I can tell at the end of the night my lower back is sore for bending over, and I can tell that my legs fall asleep easier if I sit on them. I also try to elevate my feet a little at the end of the night since I’m hoping to avoid as much swelling as possible. I have also noticed that I need to use one of those backrest things while reading in bed because the angle makes it a little bit harder to breath when reading out loud.
What I’m looking forward to: Getting the nursery all set up. We just finished scraping the ceiling, and now we will be patching and sanding it, and then we can PAINT! We still have so many other areas to work on,but just getting a few of the areas done is very heartening. I really need to prime and paint our linen closet. No matter what we do, it still has a musty smell, so I’m hoping primer will help. Since I don’t want our guest closet to always hold the blankets and pillows when we have a perfect good linen closet.
Thoughts: I can’t believe I’m in my 7th month of pregnancy!!! But I’m very grateful for how well this all has gone. I’m currently working on writing down my birth plan to go over with my OBGYN. Grant and I have also been reading the Bradley Method book together at nights. They are nice short chapters so we are slowly working out way through it; Grant claims my voice is to calming when I read out loud so I’m glad the chapters are short otherwise he would be asleep too fast.
Let me know if you have any questions!

You are still looking stunning. You have the mother glow!
Thank you!
use white vinegar 2 or 3 parts to 1 part water to wash the walls down before you paint that will get rid of the musty smell. It gets rid of smokey walls and smells, it will assuredly work on musty.
Thanks Gail, I will give that a try. We have tried baking soda, we have tried vinegar and water in a bowl in the closet, but that didn’t do much. Either way the closet needs to be repainted, but if I don’t have to do an extra coat of primer that would be nice as well.
