I am now 34 weeks, so here is my 33 week update.
Check out the week 32 update Here:
How big is baby: Four pounds and eight ounces and the size of a pineapple or honeydew melon.
Weight gain: 19 Pounds
Sleep: This week sleep has been pretty good, Grant and I both had two nights in a row where we just tossed and turned and that made our week rough. But right after those two nights we were back to normal and sleeping nice, long, and deep.
Diet/Cravings/Aversions: Nothing really, Aldi peanut butter cups and Dunkin Donuts Decaf Iced Mocha Lattes always sound good, but I have been trying to make sure I get plenty of protein, fruits, and veggies so those have been random indulgences, but still tasty.
Movement: She has been moving a lot! She will shift around or kick when she doesn’t like something on my stomach like a book, etc. She also kicks a lot during church or when we play certain music so I think she likes hearing it.
What I’m loving: Getting things checked off of my list. We took our maternity photos on Saturday, and I have only seen 4 pictures so far,but I really like them. So far I haven’t had any mean pregnancy comments, people in public now will make comments asking when I’m due but nothing rude so that is nice. We also started our birthing classes at the hospital we hope to deliver at so it is nice to be getting those things started. We have also been reading birthing books, but we figured it would be good to read the books and to take classes.
Symptoms: I have still noticed some swelling in my one ankle if I sit too long, and rolling over in bed feels more like a chore since my stomach is heavier and obviously bigger, but honestly there aren’t really a big deal just something I noticed.
What I’m looking forward to: Getting a dresser in the nursery so I can put diapers and clothes away. We just finished painting the nursery which took a LOT longer than expected. We had to scrape the ceilings which had been primed and painted which made the work take twice as long, then sand and spackle the ceiling, then paint the ceiling, then paint all of the trim with 4 coats only to realize that we must have oil based paint on the existing trim which means any latex paint doesn’t adhere very well. So, anytime we removed tape it removed some of the latex paint too… GAH! So, we know this paint option won’t last forever, but for now it will do. We will experiment in the trim in the rest of the house to see our options which might just be only using oil paint so we will see.
Thoughts: This next weekend is our baby shower, and we have family coming in to town to stay with us an attend the shower. I’m so excited about seeing everyone and hosting, so I’m hoping to get started on cleaning and organizing super early so that I don’t have to worry about any of that while family is here.
Let me know if you have any questions!
