No, we are not pregnant, and we aren’t wanting a child yet either! My one sister thought that I was calling to tell her that, but Grant and I are excited to reveal that Grant accepted a job here in Austin! He got the offer on my birthday, but he was still interviewing with another company so we wanted to make sure that this was final and all. He starts the 16th of February, and it is a full time, full benefits job! He accepted the position of Support Engineer. I have no idea what life will bring next; looking back, I don’t think we could have ever predicted where we are now. We are so blessed; this job is within a few miles of my work and very close to where we live. We might move closer to our jobs when our lease is up later this year. I am on cloud nine! I feel like we can finally start paying off loans and saving money. I wanted to keep this post short and sweet. Thank you for everyone who has been praying for us we cherish your support!
Life
Well, our new flash is older now because we have had it for a couple of months, but I haven’t really posted about it yet. We wanted a flash to help take pictures. We have a light box, and I like the pictures it takes, but I don’t always want such a stark white background. I know nothing about good photography, but I know what I like. I would LOVE to use more natural light, but when I a blogging or taking pictures it is normally during the week after work and sometimes on the weekends. I have very little light to work with because of how our apartment is facing and the time of the day. Â Here are some comparison pictures we took right when we bought our flash to show why we like it.
I don’t know if you noticed, but we were finally able to get a new domain name!!! When we first got a blog, all of the normal ones like thewarfields.com or warfieldfamily.com or thewarfieldfamily.com were all taken, so warfieldninjas.com was the funniest we could find. Well yesterday, I was looking at my Sister in Law Sarina’s blog and noticed that she had gotten grashamfamily name.  We were excited for them. Grant and I were randomly talking about how sad it was that we hadn’t gotten warfieldfamily.com, and he decided to look it up. Domain names are bought for a certain amount of time, if you decide not to renew, then they are open to people to buy. The one we wanted was available! So, we snatched it right up and are excited! It is sad that we do own a lot of domain names just encase we need or want to use them for something later. If you go to warfieldninjas.com, it will just redirect it to the new domain name. So, if you read our blog, you don’t really need to change anything like bookmarks or google reader feeds; it was just something we were excited about! Hope your week after the Holidays isn’t too ruff. We are having a hard time regulating our sleeping schedules… sounds like we should have kids to say that, but we just keep staying up late and getting up early. I hope this weekend will help!
This year it was the “Grasham” Christmas, we switch off every year, and next year we will probably be in Ohio. I have to say this was probably the best Christmas that we have had as a group since Grant and I have been married! We really missed Kira and Andrew since they weren’t able to come. Also, we forgot to take a group shot which really stinks. Oh well! My sister Julia got engaged, we ate great food, and had a lot of fun just being with family. Obviously by the time the break was over, we were ready to go home even though we did have a great time.
It has been a tradition in Grant’s family to set up the Christmas tree together on Thanksgiving or the day after. I meant to start on Thanksgiving, but I think it really happened the day after. Grant and Gail were happy to let me work and I was happy to do it.
