I am now 20 weeks, so here is my 19 week update.
Check out the week 18 update Here:
How far along: 19 weeks
How big is baby: Eight and a half ounces and the size of an heirloom tomato.
Weight gain: Half a pound.
Sleep: Not getting much, but that wasn’t the baby’s fault. We were with family in Ohio, so sleep wasn’t a high priority. We had lots of talking and catching up to do as well as people to see so sleep was on the back burner. But I have a few days off this next week to catch up.
Diet/Cravings/Aversions: No real cravings just enjoying great Mexican food as well as grapefruits among other things thanks to Bryan and Amanda’s amazing cooking. We also had a great Christmas meal with turkey, mashed potatoes, gravy, stuffing, corn, candied carrots, dip, and pumpkin pies. Oh, Gail also made her hot mulled or spiced cider. It is amazing, and so I always ask for her to make it.
Movement: Lots more kicks to feel and just overall movement. Grant felt her kick for the first time this week so that was exciting. They are still super soft on the outside so I’m sure later on it will be easier to detect.
What I’m loving: Time with family was great! We didn’t have a white Christmas, but it was still so nice to be back in Ohio and getting to catch up with friends and family.
Symptoms: I have had restless legs two different times this week that lasted about an hour. I’m also having to wear nursing pads during the day because I’m starting to leak more colostrum. Let’s hope that only means good things.
What I’m looking forward to: Getting to slowly start prepping things for when she comes. I’m a planner and nesting hasn’t hit yet, so I am trying to put things off until I get closer to that time. We did stop at Ikea on the way home from Ohio and got a small sheep skin for the eventual nursery area. It makes me so happy to see around the house.
Thoughts: I can’t believe how fast everything feels like it is going. Soon I will be packing to visit Austin which will be so much fun even if I will miss seeing Grant for almost two weeks!
