I am now 27 weeks, so here is my 26 week update.
Check out the week 25 update Here:
How far along: 26 weeks
How big is baby: Two pounds and the size of an eggplant.
Weight gain: 9 Pounds
Sleep: It is getting uncomfortable to sleep on my stomach, so I have switched to completely sleeping on my side which isn’t a big deal just a difference.
Diet/Cravings/Aversions: I haven’t been craving anything in particular, but I can tell that I am actually hungry and eating more. In the beginning, all food sounded gross, then I was just annoyed having to eat smaller and more frequent meals during the day, and now I noticed I am eating more in general.
Movement: Our little girl is super active and that is lots of fun. She is especially active early mornings and late evenings, but kicks throughout the day as well.
What I’m loving: Knowing that everything is moving along almost faster than I thought possible. Also, three couples in our group have had their second babies and one had their first baby within the last month, and getting to bring them food, hold their babies, and hear their advice has been wonderful.
Symptoms: I can tell that my back gets a little bit more sore at the end of the day, and that my stomach is getting bigger and heavier.
What I’m looking forward to: Continuing work on our house as we slowly get it all ready for whens he comes. I’m not really excited about this, but during my 28th week, I will get my rhogam shot, my tdap shot, as well as my glucose test, so boy oh boy that will be a big and not fun appointment.
Thoughts: We really need to come up with some names, so that we at least have a few we like that we can take to the hospital before she is born.
Let me know if you have any questions!

what are these 2 shots for again – Grammie can’t remember
Gail,
The Rhogam shot is because I have a negative blood type, so it is to make sure that my body doesn’t start fighting off the baby’s blood cells. I also get another one after giving birth so if we have a second that won’t happen as well. If our baby has a negative blood type, then it isn’t an issue, but they won’t know until after she is born. Since we had Grant’s blood drawn, and he doesn’t have a negative blood type. The Tdap is a shot for me to build up more immunity to Tetanus, Diptheria, and Pertussis so that she will be covered after birth until she is old enough to have those vaccines herself. 🙂
