Reese got her shots as you can see above, with all of her bandaids, but she was a champ. She screamed bloody murder which I honestly would too with how hard they stab those suckers in there, but within a minute had calmed down. She was still sticking out her lower lip and giving me the how dare you let them hurt me look, but we survived.
Reese still uses both hands to pick things up and grasp them, but to us it seems she is slightly favoring her right hand. However, we know this could change.
She definitely knows her name, and will look and turn when we call her. She also knows Mama and Papa. We play where is Mama and Where is Papa game, and she will look at the correct person when we ask.
Reese is starting to like baths more and more. She chews on some of the bath toys now, and has started splashing.
Reese is wearing 9-12 month clothes. Mainly 9 month clothes in everyday wear, but 12 month sleepers since she is so tall.
So far, Reese doesn’t sleep in. If we keep her up past her bed time of 6/6:30 she will still wake up at 6/6:30ish.
Reese loves watching the garage door open and close especially when it is time for Papa to come home. She will bounce in my arms and roar/screech/smile when Grant gets home.
We sing a lot of songs and she likes those, but she only wants to eat books these days. We don’t read too many right now because she just gets mad that I don’t let her eat them.
At night, she is now needing her cloth diapers with two liners. She still sleeps through the night, but will occasionally wake up if she has a very wet or dirty diaper. We change it, and put her right back down, and she is out cold.

Reese is loving her borrowed exersaucer. She really started bouncing, jumping, and is a lot more stable even when she stands on her tip toes. Not always leaning toward the front like in these pictures.
Reese loves her lamb teether that Aunt Sandi got for her. You cannot take it away without her actually crying or implementing her new fake cry that she can turn off and on at will. It the lamb is always our last resort toy, so if Reese is fussy and we have tried everything then it is time to bust out the lamb.

Whenever I want Reese to Smile, I tell her to Smile for Papa. We send him pictures of what we are up to during the day.
We live a 15 minute walk with all side walks to our library. So here is one of the puppet shows that we went to, but now we go to 0-12 month story time where they only let 15 kids in. Then they also have 0-3 year old story time as well. So, we have been going around 2-3 times a week to the library which is wonderful since everything is free. Reese even has her own library card.

Reese is sitting up like a champ. She will tip over if she sees something super exciting behind or to the side of her.
Here is a video of Reese sitting, and then getting distracted and falling backwards. She also gets more frustrated with things these days.

Reese obviously loves me,but Grant and her definitely have a special bond. She gives him the best laughs and biggest smiles! She also loves when people like Papa roar at her.

Another day, another walk. When on Grant’s shoulders she always tries to eat his hair. If there is product in it, then she makes a gross face, but still tries to eat the hair again.

Reese is starting to get more mobile where she is rolling, scooting, and flailing around. We put her on this playmat while one of us showers, and we found her like this after a shower.
She also enjoyed kicking the door while I showered and listening to the thumping noise it made.

Reese loves crinkly things and shopping. She likes watching people and all of the interesting and colorful things at the store. She isn’t a fan of being carried as much in her ergo in stores, but prefers to sit in the cart. (she is buckled in under her bib)

Right after good naps, Reese is super happy! If she is cranky, she will normally fall asleep during the nursing session right after, and I try and put her back in the crib, or she naps on me for a bit.
Reese is a lot more vocal these days. She can also say babababababa, but I just didn’t catch it on video. When saying Babababa, she will stick her tongue out and curl if up toward her nose. It is kinda comical.

She likes her wubbanub and other teethers, but only to chew on. She LOVES tags on things. Here you can see her trying to chew the wubbanub red/pink tag.

First fitting of her halloween costume, I’m just glad I started working on our costumes almost a month before.

Reese still loves eating! We actually got a baby cook which is similar to a magic bullet, but it will steam any food, and then you can also puree the food with or without steaming. Honestly I love it, even if it was pricey. So Reese has had a lot of steamed veggies and other steamed meals.

Reese has started sleeping on her stomach in her sleep. She could roll for a while, but mainly did circles in her crib.

She would sleep really well until she realized that she was on her stomach. I think she got so mad she didn’t roll herself over. We rolled her once or twice, but after that we just left her to figure it out- which she did after a while.
Reese likes to “Godzilla” her crib. She will spend time ripping her crib liner things that I sewed down and chewing on them or just pushing them down so she can see the rest of her room.
We always play before putting her down to bed and her bedtime routine. Here is Grant and Reese, giving a real and then fake laugh.

Her first time Trick or Treating. We hadn’t planned on actually walking around with her,but we joined our friends David and Allison and their daughter Grace. All of the people handing out candy wanted to make sure the little ewok got some too. Sooooo, Grant and I took one for the team and made sure Reese’s candy didn’t go to waste.
Just a cute video of activities when it was still nice outside.

Reese is already stubborn! She knows how to drink from a bottle, but refuses and will even spit the milk out of her mouth just to show how much she doesn’t want to drink from the bottle.
She is getting much better with hand eye coordination. She might not drink from the bottle, but she can pick it up,etc.

This month Reese was on two airplanes, we took a trip to Houston for a funeral and to see family. More on that in another post.

While in Houston, she got to meet all of my family, and she loved them all. Here she is with my brother Daniel.

While in Houston, we were away from Papa for over a week. BOY did we miss him. We sent him daily pictures to make sure we were fresh in his mind.
We go very high class when eating out- Sam’s Club has very inexpensive food, and it is pretty good. If you like their hot dog/brats, they are Nathan’s brand (which are gluten free, biproduct free, no artifical flavors or colors), and they make their pizza pretty fresh. So when Grant and I go there to eat it costs us a whopping $3.79 for a meal. Anyway, this was the first time Reese was allow to suck on the pizza just to get a taste, of course she loved it. She loves all food in general that we have given her thus far. If she sees us eating or drinking these days, she will start smacking her lips, licking her lips, and giving you the stare down.
Here is a video of Reese eating dried mango, she loves it as well as any fruit or foods. She still has no teeth, but she doesn’t let that stop her.
