Sebastian did great with his 2 month shots and didn’t have any reactions like Reese did so that was wonderful. He did cry a lot during the shots which made me sad,but he calmed down quickly afterwards.

Sebastian in the Ergo carrier which helps me try to keep both kids happy during the day. He still has his blue eyes, and I hope he keeps them.

Sebastian is very alert, and he likes to see what is going on. Here he is with his Frog Sit Me up which really does help keep him propped up.

He already discovered the ceiling fan and loves it just like Reese.

img_6350He was fussy while I was cooking dinner, so he was put in the Ergo so I could get things done.

Sebastian is still in disposable diapers because we were given a lot from a diaper and wipe shower at our Church so we are still using them up. He is between size 1 and 2 so we just use whichever one we grab first since different brands have different fits. He is fine with baths as long as he isn’t cold which is hard to do since he was born in October. So I have been using a space heater in the bathroom so it isn’t as bad. He also has cradle cap which Reese never really had issues with. I have found if I rub coconut oil into his scalp and face before a bath then it is easier to massage it off with the shampoo. Also, I then rub him down after a bath in coconut oil as well since his skin has been drier due to the weather.

img_9486He can be super serious.

img_9488And is super happy and babbly when he wants to be.

He was born with a lot of hair, but he has lost a lot of it. I can’t wait until it grows back, because he will look so much more handsome with more hair.

Sebastian is a very relaxed baby, but he goes from happy to crying/screaming in seconds with no warning. However, it is easy to tell that he is either hungry or has a dirty diaper. When he starts getting fussy, then I know that he is getting ready for a nap. He tends to wake up eat, have a diaper change, and and hour and thirty minutes later he starts getting fussy. I then change his diaper, swaddle him, and nurse again. I try to always put him to bed awake so he can put himself to sleep either with or without his pacifier depending on his mood. He is pretty chill in that sense and doesn’t cry when being laid down unless he has a dirty diaper or isn’t ready to sleep yet. Then he falls asleep between the hour and thirty minute mark to the two hour mark. We use the Woombie for his swaddle which we like the best. I’m not big on having him have a set sleep schedule ,but he has put himself on one naturally. He will be awake for 1.5 hours after waking up in the morning, and then sleeps for 40-45 minutes, then is awake for 1.5 hours, and he takes another 40-45 minute nap. Then he is awake for 2 hours, and then he takes a 2-3 hour stretch of naps. He sometimes wakes up after 45 minutes to nurse and then sleeps another 2 hours or sleeps the whole stretch through. Before he was sleeping through the night, I would wake him up to nurse every two hours if he was sleeping so that he didn’t mix up his days, and nights. After his long afternoon nap, he is awake two hours, and he is ready to go to sleep for the night.

img_9586Reese loves Sebastian, and always tries to hug him, poke his eye balls, sit on him, show him her stuffed animals, etc. It means I have to watch the two of them 24/7 which is very exhausting, but it is so wonderful to see how much they already like each other.

Sebastian really likes the swing because it has a mirror underneath it. He also likes to watch the bees and leaf mobil spin around. He will kick his legs, smile, and coo at himself. Reese liked the swing but didn’t really pay attention to any of those things.

I cut out dairy, peanuts, and beans. I have tried to reintroduce each, and with peanuts I’m not positive I’m seeing a reaction, but with beans he gets really bad gas and a rash on his butt, and with diary he starts spitting up a lot so it looks like I will be staying off of those foods for a while longer just like with Reese. We are also still nursing which is going well now that we finally found our groove. I also pump once a day to have a freezer stash, and I have around 200 ounces frozen already.

img_9591Obviously, you can’t tell a ton on personality this young, but Sebastian gets super happy and smiley when he notices and makes eye contact with someone. He is much better at making eye contact than Reese was at this point. He also tracks people with his eyes or follow you by turning his head which is also advanced. She was good, but still tended to look at the hair line since that was the greatest contrast. He also cooes a lot more than Reese did so we wonder if we have a talker on our hands already.

Sebastian and Reese came and voted with me.

img_9636Reese sharing her animals with him. Most of the time the things she wants to share end up on his face. Reese also loves giving Sebastian his pacifier whether it is when he is sleeping or crying.

We also took pictures for Sebastian’s Birth Announcement this month. He wasn’t as cooperative as Reese was(she was a lot older at the time) so I’m glad we got such a good shot.

dsc_8058Sebastian doesn’t dislike tummy time like Reese did, but if he isn’t in the mood he will normally roll onto his back.

This month was rough for the Warfield household, we all were super sick for pretty much the whole month of November. Not having any family in town when you are dog sick and really can’t get any help is really tough especially when you still have a baby that is waking up multiple times at night to eat. His growth spurt was a lot longer and more stretched out around 5-7 weeks than Reese’s because of him being sick. We were all sick off and on during the last 2 weeks of October as well so we were just hoping for a week where at least one of us wasn’t sick.

img_9710I try to read books to both kids since Reese loves books, but apparently reading to both at the same time isn’t as cool for Reese. Sebastian has a short attention span for books, and seems to prefer the art work in our house and watching people.

img_9711

We try to take walks when we can,but since Reese is at school most mornings we don’t get out as often as I would like. Here is Sebastian in the Infant Sling in our Thule Cougar 2 stroller. It always puts him to sleep, when he is in it.

img_9713I honestly LOVE this stroller and am so so so glad we got it.

Sebastian had his first road trip too this month. Boy oh boy are there a lot of things you need to pack with a toddler and an infant. Luckily, Kira and Andrew had a lot of things we could use, so we didn’t have to pack everything. Both kids did great on the drive as we left at their bed time. It being dark outside helped a lot as well.

img_9777He got to meet his cousin Alana.

img_6413Reese got to watch a movie with her cousin Alana.

img_9794

We got to spend time outside like this time with a fire pit in the cold temperatures.

img_9814Sebastian got to bond with Jackson; I’m sure they will be two trouble makers together when they are older.

img_6445

He went on his first zoo trip as well. We also use this stroller for when we are out and about for grocery shopping, and even though both strollers are expensive new(we got both of ours used), I love having a tandem and side by side stroller. They are both so nice for different uses.

img_9836He slept literally the whole time at the zoo.

img_6583He also got to watch the chaos that is Reese and Alana.

Sebastian has super strong neck and back muscles to where our chiropractor comments on it every time she gives him an adjustment. I also thought it was interesting that without me mentioning anything about his birth, the chiropractor could tell that I didn’t have any drugs during his delivery because she said his muscle tone was so much stronger and that he was more alert than babies whose mother’s have epidurals. (I’m not bashing them, but I was surprised she could tell a difference without asking me.)

Since he is so tall he is in 3-6 month onesies, 3-6 month footed pajamas, but 3 month pants since his legs are a lot shorter in comparison to his super long torso.

img_9937

At 8 weeks, Sebastian started sleeping through the night starting with 8 hour stretches, and then eventually got to 10-11 hour stretches which is amazing. He just like Reese have slept through around 8 weeks, and we know that we didn’t get lucky with it. We had to work really hard at sleep training and being very intentional from day one. Now, I will say that Reese was a lot harder of a baby to sleep train thus far than Sebastian was. He was also moved out of our room around the end of week 7. With Reese she was out of our room earlier, but since Sebastian was sick we kept him in our room longer to be on the safe side. In general, he went to bed around 8/8:30 pm,but as he started sleeping longer stretches we started put him to bed earlier and earlier. Now his bedtime is between 6:30-7:30pm which is normally pretty close to Reese’s as well.

He is a lazy eater, but he likes to eat a lot, since he sleeps through the night I nurse as much as possible so that he isn’t hungry and wants to wake up to eat.

Sebastian is all about chewing and sucking on his hands right now. With Reese at this stage she did it too, and we thought she might be teething, but we later realized that the saliva glands are developing at this stage, so I assume that is the case here as well.

Sebastian, we can’t believe you are already 2 months old, and that you are such a happy, calm baby. You are so alert and talkative at this stage which makes it so much fun to have you around. We can’t wait to see how you grow up, and we hope you and Reese develop an awesome relationship as sister and brother.
