Pregnancy Post – 24 Weeks
I am now 25 weeks, so here is my 24 week update.
How far along: 24 weeks
How big is baby: One pound and three ounces and the size of a large mango.
Weight gain: 6.5 Pounds
Sleep: I have been sleeping well when I go to sleep,but because of packing up the condo and getting ready to close on our house, sleep hasn’t been the top priority.
Diet/Cravings/Aversions: Toast, ginger peach decaf tea, grapefruit, veggie sandwiches, avocados are really hitting the spot this week with lots and lots of water. Occasionally, I will treat myself to a Dunkin Donuts Decaf Mocha Iced Coffee, they are very tasty and a lot cheaper than most hot coffees.
Movement: Lots more movement and kicking throughout the day which is a lot of fun. Grant has also been able to feel more, so that makes it even more fun.
What I’m loving: Knowing that we are getting closer to having this baby, and that everything is still looking healthy which is a huge blessing. Also excited about getting to get our house ready for when she comes.
Symptoms: I honestly still don’t feel that pregnant. I know that I am, but I will forget my belly sticks out farther than before and try to go past Grant and end up brushing him with my stomach which is funny to me every time. I have been making sure to take lots of breaks while packing to not over do it,but still staying active so that is good. I can just tell that I’m getting tired earlier in the evenings,but we are also a lot more busy this week than we have been for a while, so I guess that is to be expected.
What I’m looking forward to: Being in our house and getting to slowly starting changing stuff to make it our own.
Thoughts: I feel like there are so many things to still do, from getting the house ready, to birthing classes, to maternity photos, to picking a name, to…my list could go on forever. Now that I’m past the half way mark, everything feels more real and like time is starting to run out.
