So as you know we currently rent our condo, it is an older condo which means more room but less efficient. This winter was a LOT colder than last year for sure, which meant that even if our heater was going all the time and using the really expensive auxiliary heating coils, it wouldn’t get above 66 in our place. Which can be frustrating when we still pay a lot in utilities, but that is something that you just have to come to terms with when renting. One day we look forward to having a house, just so that if there is something wrong with insulations, windows, doors, heaters, etc. we can actually get those things fixed and changed over time.

Huntsville is one of the few Southern States that has a City Hockey Team as well as a College Hockey Team. We were invited by a couple in our Church to attend a College Hockey Game with them. They had seats right against the “glass” which was very awesome and exciting. We only took pictures with our phones, but here they are.
I was pretty excited about the holidays this year. The day after Thanksgiving, I started putting up the tree and slowly adding different decorations. I would love to have a real Christmas tree, but they are really expensive, and then just get thrown away so until we have kids, we will make due with the fake tree. Also, we have never seen Christmas decor as a need, so most of it is bought used or on sale each year with my allowance. So, I slowly am adding to what I have year after year.
This year we were blessed enough to be able to go to Houston for Christmas to be with my Family. Every year we switch off for Christmas, so last year we were in Ohio and all of my siblings that are married were with their in-Laws, and this year we all got together with my parents. Whenever this happens there is always mass chaos which just happens when you have around 22 people trying to coordinate food, gifts, sleeping arrangements, and activities. Â Grant and I were sad not to be able to see Bryan, Amanda, and Gail as well as the snow they had. It randomly got cold in Houston while we were there so that made it feel a little bit more like Christmas.
Thanksgiving this year was a different affair than we were expecting, but lots of fun and so laid back! Gail decided to stay in Ohio for Thanksgiving this year, so we were invited to Nashville to be with Kira and Andrew and his family. We committed to attending kinda late, so most of the dishes had been split up between all of the different women, but I feel like I got to make awesome things none the less.
