Grant and I aren’t all that exciting people,but here are a few random pictures of what has been going on in our lives
Last weekend Gail, Grant’s Mom, came for a visit. This was her first time to Huntsville and luckily it looked like spring with tons of leaves and flowers budding everywhere. She drove down on Friday Morning and arrived around 4:30pm here. Grant and I both took Friday off work to make sure that we had everything ready for when she came.
As you can probably see from my recent posts, I have been trying to accumulate an arsenal of baby shower gifts. 🙂 I have been trying to make them in bulk that when a shower comes up, I can just pick out which colors and am good to go. I used to make the burp cloths only,but I felt 3 burp cloths just weren’t enough for one gift. I still have one type of gift I want to try and make for the gifts so I have 3 items per boy or girl gift, but I need to see whether it is worth the work that goes into it.
So yesterday, I posted HERE about my fail with cutting the stretch wrong on some fabric. I didn’t want to throw it away and waste it so I came up with another fun idea of what do to with it, make bow ties!
So far for my baby shower gifts that I am trying to put together in advanced, I have made Burp cloths (tutorial#1 & tutorial#2), Baby Girl Headbands with Bows (Tutorial), Bow pins (Tutorial), and now for the boy baskets, I wanted to make some cute little boy hats or beanies. Below is my tutorial.
After my last Hair bow headband tutorial, which can be found HERE, I had some left over bows. I decided that I would make them into pin-able bows that I can give as part of a baby shower gift as well.
